You can be a volunteer steward, but you have to get in early because it’s very popular. Visit their websites for info.
As for bar staff etc. they will be contracted so you would need to work for a big company that the festival employs for stuff like that. Eg. Carling used to sponsor Reading, they employed staff to work in their mobile bars, Reading festival then contracted them to work at the festival. You cannot get a foot in like this unless you volunteer for a charity who are running a tent or something.
