I don’t know about Europe in general, but here in Greece the best one is called “Rockwave festival”. This year, many successful bands/singers will perform live, such as Sting, Roger Waters, Franz Ferdinand, Depeche mode, The Dandy Warhols and others. Greeks are just CRAZY about this festival.

depends what you are into, but i’d recommend the love parade in berlin – superb!!!
