I just gave a brief look at the line-up and such. There are the obvious reasons to go, like the music and being able to be around people who enjoy it. So the whole experience thing is easy to argue for. But I doubt any of that would make them want to let you go if you are going alone.
Those advisements on the fact sheet are there as way to alleviate the sponsors of some responsibility should something happen to those 15 to 18 attending have something happen to them. This way they can claim they gave prior warning. But they are there also because they are true, else they would have no reason to give warning. So unless you can find other people to go with whom seem responsible enough in your parents eyes, even if they might be people your age, then I wouldn’t count on winning your parents over.
So argue in favour of the whole experience thing as to what there will be to see and hear and do, but make certain you can argue as to having your safety taken care of, too. It is your safety they will care about above all else, the rest just gives them reason to feel it might be worthwhile to let you go if they think you might be okay enough.
how about:
“I need to fill my senses with the essence of music. Music is my life and this is a once in a lifetime experience for me to express my feelings towards it and listen to some powerful, meaningful music that could teach me a lot.”
hope this helps. (and say its educational) haha
it makes you feel free.
a sense of independence.
you need to grow up and do these things sometime.
me and my friends promise to keep you updated – yes i will be going in a big group of friends.
it will be a good life experience.
