You appear to be thinking of Woodstock; but you may actually be referring to Summerfest, which is the world’s largest music festival, held annually on the lakefront in Milwaukee. Woodstock drew nearly 500,000; the Isle of Wight Festival drew 600,000 in 1970 (now numbers range near 50,000), but the Big Gig gets nearly 1 million visitors every year!
