I always use A5 instead of M6 Toll because it saves me £3. If you are not bothered saving your £3 then take M6 Toll as it is lot more quicker and faster. I used M6 Toll once and did more than 100mph because the whole motorway was empty whereas on A5 your limit will be 50mph with unlimited speed cameras, traffic lights and roundabouts.
So, I suppose you have got a virtual image of the traffic on both roads and can now decide how to manage your route.
