The Unlimited Festival Resources

Got back last night , and it was awesome. Literally , awesome.
I got fed up waiting for Kanye West , and left the mainstage at 315 am. I would have liked the opportunity to boo him , but thats not the right vibe to have at the ‘Roo.
The hot sun was the only “bad” thing , but rain would have been worse.
Jam packed music , and even the bands I had never heard of rocked out .
The shows were on time (’cept Kanye) , the sound was good , the portolets were cleaned regularly ( a necessity that can’t be trivialized) , I didn’t see one fight , I didn’t see one police officer , and the “vibe” could not have been better.
Pearl Jam commented that they were hesitant to play a U.S. fesival because of prior experiences , and were amazed at how well everything was going and said they would love to come back , a sentiment echoed by several of the acts I viewed.
The comedy was great as well , Jim Norton , Chris rock , Louis C.K. , Brian Posehn ,and Mike Birbigula , were hillarious ( and yes, literally). However , Janine Garafalows first set was horendous. She really bombed , and I swear it was not due to her content (political) , although I heard it explained to me that way , but I was there , and she was disorganized , came off confused , got heckled (by college kids, not red necks) , and ultimatly was “saved”, by the appearance of her opening acts , who , I assume , could not stand to see her swinging in the wind out there. We cheered when , Mike birbigula came back out , if that gives you any indication.
I could go on for hours , but I will just say , If you can plan to camp out beside your car for four days , you should go.
If I could go back in time , I would go back to bonnaroo 2008 , before I would go to Woodstock , but I hate mud.
