That is bad ass when he turns around to watch that Trombone solo like everyone else in the audience. Gave me a big chill, I would love to work for him!! One of my favorite tunes of all time!!
SLY is da FUNK he walks it, he talks it, a musical guru, I saw it , he was the first STAR I had ever met, FUNK in every room of the house playing ,RAW TO BONE FUNK and a house full of fans and stars Billy Preston, Bobby Womack Joe Hicks, DO IT AGAIN FUNKMAN and super POET.
@tommiexander Took the words right out of my mouth. I’ve always loved Sly. He is a true music pioneer, an underappreciated genius but he wasted so much of his talents on prolonged drug use the way Whitney has. Though he looks haggard and is hunched over, I’m glad to see they’re still able to prop him up long enough to perform. And you can still see glimpses of that greatness.
Wow. Thanx for posting this. It is always refreshing to see one of the old masters who still has his talent. Should I say that I am also glad that he is here on stage and not in the pokie with steel flector.
why let he wait us soooooooooooooooooooooo long……

More soul in his little finger than most performers in their whole being
