@rinconfaber I was also looking for that one..It’s my very first experience with Ornette Coleman’s music..and i got hooked with it since then..I saw it on Wowow TV Japan, and sad to say, our VHS was broke so I did’nt had the chance to record it ..damn..

lmao “J mclaughlin a minnow” what are you friggin retarded?

  • rinconfaber says:

@cam2724: Yes…he did. I actually have a old VHS tape of it from when I taped off of Bravo (when they used to be a bonafide arts channel before turning into something else that needs an apology)…let me tell you: if you’re a Metheny fan or a Coleman fan or both…you must see that performance. Look for it 1988 Montreal Jazz festival. It is un fucking real. One of his strings breaks during it. Intense. Metheny just takes it way further than expected…transcendent.

What did minnows like J mclauglin do?

Didn’t Metheny come on as a guest during this performance for one tune? I would love to see that video again, the band REALLY gets lost on that one.

agree with jimdrumz OC is cool, better off without Prime Time, sound like faceless funk/rock a backing band. Latin Genetics is a great song but prefer acoustic stuff!

  • samuelabib says:

    thats my guitar teacher…ken wessel!

  • quazichimp says:

    yes,,yes,,so wacked out funky…ornette
always makes me feel good. thank you ornette
    for all the wonderful music.

  • jimdrumz says:

can you imagine what this would sound like if Ornette was playing with Al Foster and Ron Carter?…..It would be pure genius.
Sorry but the band ain’t happening but Ornette is awesome…as usual
