No she was not popular. Maybe to a few Israeli born 2-State backing Palestinians. But as a Palestinian American I never herd a thing of her and my family is the same.

    Hi Sabei0990,

I wanna ask you about Ofra Haza, ¿She was succesful into palestinian people, or only into Israel and Yemen?

    Regards

  • Sabei0990 says:

It is written with a ‘k’ and said with a ‘g’ in some dialects, referring to “galbi.”

her I-V drug abusing husband gave it to her, it was not her fault, except for marrying the a-hole. what a terrible waste, so sad.

Exactly, also in the first musical break, the musicians mix arabic with latin rythms, specially tropicals.

    Ofra have a excellent band.

  • ScottKilbourn says:

    Great video! Thanks for sharing!

  • KNJGSY says:

One of my favourite tracks – not only a medley, but Ofra showcasing her band by giving each member his own instrumental break. That’s jazz, I suppose ! Watch out for her signals – she’s keeping time. Duetting with a bass guitar, dancing with the drums ! Pity the whole 16 minutes did not get on here in one take.
