Ugh I’m starting to wonder why people answer questions when they don’t have the credentials or expertise. Ecstacy can’t “trigger” depression. And it doesn’t take all the chemicals in your brain and use them all up. It forces a huge secretion of serotonin and blocks reabsorption of tryptophan, the first precursor to serotonin, for up to a week. Now, from taking it too often and at higher doses than 1.5-2mg per kg (your bodyweight converted to kilograms, multiply by 2). Now yes, everyone does react differently, but what is known to be a possible side effect is Serotonin Syndrome. This is from abusing ecstacy too much, but, in time it’s shown that the serotonin transmitters heal mostly if not completely.
What you can do is, go to your local vitamin shop, and buy 5 – htp. It’s a supplement. It’s what tryptophan gets converted into, and then is converted to serotonin. This may fix your serotonin imbalance.
You may also be prescribed any kind of SSRI (selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) which are anti-depressants/anxiety medications.
Try the 5-htp, it’s about 20 dollars a bottle, you take one pill a day, and also buy some multi-vitamins. Take a multivitamin every morning. I hope this helps. Good luck . And p.s., if you have any questions about this stuff, please just email me. Don’t waste your time asking on yahoo answers. You will get so many false answers from people who have been on “abovetheinfluence.com” or are plain just against drugs. I took drugs for 6 years, have been clean for 7 months. Been through depression, suicide attempt, etc.
I’m now working towards my bachelors in web development. And then going to further my education by attaining my degree in pharmacology, and business.
it CAN be possible, every ones mind works different.
I know from others experiences as well as reading on it, having constant use can have a long term effect and eventually cause depression as the person gets older.
Maybe in your situation, you felt so good on e that when you came crashing, you had sad feelings because your mind came back to “reality” so to speak.. maybe it triggered negative thinking along the way about some sorts of situations? I’m not saying it did, but it takes one thing to spark a whole situation, so maybe it contributed and things just went from difficult to worse from there?
The fact that you have a history, makes you an easy target for the pills to have a greater effect verses a person who doesnt have a history of mental illness, I read that up somewhere on the internet.
I hope this helped : ] & hopefully you surpass whatever is setting you back !
