Yes i`m cutting back this year….i usually start putting money by after christmas….not so this year…its going to be a hard choice on what i`m going to miss
I’ve been cutting back in recent years after concert ticket prices skyrocketed so high.I refuse to pay 65 dollars to see Motley Crue when I seen them for 15 dollars years ago. This year I’ve found myself cutting back more.I’ve been looking into concerts at clubs and bars where it is cheaper and a lot of good bands do play. These festivals sometimes are over rated.I could see spending money for Ozzfest if I really wanted to go,but I would buy a lawn ticket and you wouldn’t find me buying seats.I would really have to like almost everyone in the line up to spend the money this year. It’s just not there for me to spend as I wish anymore.
In 2008 we went to 4 Festivals – Super Bock Super Rock in Lisbon, Download Festival in England, Reading Festival in England and T in the Park in Scotland.
In 2009 we are only going to Download Festival. We just decided to spend less this year and save some cash, then go to more in 2010.
So far this year the credit crunch has not caused me any pain when it comes to concerts…a friend took me to Metallica on Jan. 19 and the ticket was free!
On Tuesday, I am taking my son and his friend to see Slipknot and the tickets are only $37 each.
So far, So good!
