They’re very cool. If there is a good line-up it can be a great way to catch a whole lot of bands. I’ve been to Coachella twice, Lollapalooza twice, This Ain’t No Picnic and All Tomorrow’s Parties and they’ve added up to some great sets. The one downside is, at least for me, often they are played in incredibly hot places. I don’t do well with the heat personally and really struggled with Coachella particularly. I have actually vowed to never return, unless the line-up is just so good that I absolutely cannot turn it down. It takes a lot out of you, but I’m also in my 30s now and am both not as resiliant as I used to be, and a bit less motivated to do that stuff. It just takes a lot out of you. They are a lot of fun though, and I’ve been able to see some amazing acts that I would not have seen otherwise.
Music festivals are awesome

Every year I try to go to as many festivals as possible.
If you’re thinking: “should I go?” Yes, you should. You will have a good time. Almost guaranteed.
Make sure you’re going to a festival that has your taste of music obviously. If you only like pop/rock you shouldn’t go to a metal festival (though i did, and still had a great time )

i went to glastonbury, t4 on the beach this sunday (not really a festival but still!) annnd im going to V.
The line-ups have been/are amazing to all 3!
i would definantly recommend festivals if you enjoy loud music, quirky fashion, celebrities, mud and dirt, and just having an amazing time!
Several – My favorite was a Southern rock festival in the late 70′s or early 80′s but here in New Orleans we have music festivals all the time – there is one called Jazz Fest that is world class – It’s all kinds of music not just Jazz. They get big name stars but I like the lesser none or local acts the best.
Yeah, there’s a massive one right where I live coming up soon.
Everyone gets drunk and walks around and is loud and obnoxious. There’s some good shopping, food, and some good smaller bands playing the streets.
I’m taking a trip down to Tennessee for Bonnaroo next year.
I was at The Roundup, a southern rock festival in Philadelphia in 1981. It was great! It featured The Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchett, and .38 Special.

I’ve been to several and they’re overrated. I’m from Austin, Texas, and they happen here all the time.

I went to Glastonbury about 10 years ago and it was fantastic.
