They offer a similar VIP pass for the Jazz Fest and I have always gone with the regular ticket. I dont recall the Voodoo festival doing the VIP ticket in past years but in my opinion its not worth it. They basically will give you access to special seating a private beer garden. I prefer to be able to wander around and enjoy the crowd.
I’m attending this year for the 1st time, just bought my 3 day pass. No need for the extra money for VIP in my opinion, I work in the industry and would rather see the show in the crowd.
i have never bought them but it looks like it only includes some gourmet food (that you have to pay for), a full service bar nearby, stands that you can sit in (so that you wont be hassled by the crowd) and there wont be any lines trying to get in. but for the $450 you are paying, it sounds like its not really worth it. i think i would rather be out with the common folk anyways. plus, tickets are only $100. see you there.
