i vcan say i was there and i cried. That was such an emotional moment. Will totally remember for the rest of my life!! Well done Rick and he band played an amazing show!! Can’t wait to see them again!! love u xxx
Andy, thank you so much for posting this. Def Leppard is my all-time favorite group…ever, and Rick Allen is one of my personal HEROS. This American Girl wishes she could have been there to share the moment. This brought tears to my eyes.

Cheers Andy! This was the highlight of the show for me! I was far right on the barrier, kind of right at the edge of the stage. I saw Rick’s face crumple as he stood up and that was it…I just sobbed with him. The recording is great but I just wished it had picked up the waves of “Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick” being chanted and (as cheesy as it may sound) the love and sheer respect pouring out for him. Legend, Gentleman and a God.
Totally agree with you! What I’ve have given…… I’m really pleased he recorded this though, I blubbed listening to it at the damn computer! Saddo that I am…. lol
i was at the front for this and it was pure magic. the crowd were screaming so hard during this, i hope the full video goes up cause it was one of the highlights of the whole festival
I was behind you. But about a third of the way back directly in front of a speaker stack. I was about 10 metres from it with my mics pointing straight at it. So all I picked up was the band. Thats all any taper wants really, to get the music and not too much audience noise.

For me Rock N’ Roll history was made that night, and years from now when people ask about Def Leppard, I can say “I was there.”
