@camsell456 Well, tell me some arguments. John Petrucci is very good and professional player, but in his playing you can only see technical playing, not a single drop of feeling. He’s a very good player, but not so versatile as Buckethead. Hard to compare, but I think that Buckethead takes the cake.
i saw him at the aggie in 08, mishawaka 08 with that one guy, and mishwaka 09, all 3 times he only had his ipod, but he did do a jam with that one guy, but the mishawaka 09 show was the best out of the 3 by far
gosh watch 6:53 and on….he barely pics while shredding that lick….i see a lil hybrid, but dang, he is so strong all pull offs and hammer ons…..buckethead honestly has to be a machine….NO ONE CAN SHRED LIKE THAT…..not vai, angelo, satriani, beck, even malesteen, or even gilbert….WOW
Now that i think of it, I think this was his very first performance of Soothsayer live….no joke, i have like a ton of recordings and this is the first time soothsayer pops up……epicness
the balance of the reverb and delay in the intro is oohhh soo perfectttt
ya dude i’ve seen him 6 times with the monti/pinchface trio, then once with claypool, and like 8 times now with his ipod/that1guy dealy…..the ipod kind of hinders his ability to improvise because he is playing off the same backing tracks every show…..still epic but bhead with a band is the best thing there is…so much more comes out of it like improv and extended jams and mistakes and all the awesomeness of total live music…
@k24skin totally agree bro, this is my favorite version of soothsayer ever! blows his ipod of of the water! I hope to God he is planing something with a band next tour!
I think that one of the main reasons that I like this version better than a lot of his newer concert performances of Soothsayer is because he played it with a live band & not just his iPod backing him up. A lot of his newer fans have not yet had the chance to see him in concert with a band backing him up, I beleive his ’06 tour was the last time he’s done that. Bucket needs to call up some of his old band members, like Brain, Pinchface, Del Ray, Monti, Les Claypool, etc & give his fans that.
This to me is his best live music performance of Soothsayer that I’ve ever seen “VIDEO” of, None of course can top the times that I’ve personally seen him play it live, that’s a whole other experience. Although the lighting in this could’ve been better, that way we could’ve seen more of his awesome fret play.
@Anonyomus
Buckethead always has , always will take the cake .

I want that guitar!
To bad that they don’t sell those signature guitars here in Norway
@Anonyomus Buckethead is not better than John Petrucci
@Timmmmay86 Not a machine, A God.
ok to me this is the best soothsayer live performance ive seen.
Long live God Buckethead

esto es increible \
he hybrid picks because hes beast
if Buckinators Rocktacity levels are at the maximum overdrive levels here, i wonder what it would be like to have seen this concert on shrooms.
