I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Editing job aside, what moved me the most was the slightly melancholy music in the background, mixed with people who had radically different views on their characters and their purpose for playing. Tying all of that together with your fantastic vision of avatars in Dublin, you have quite a film on your hands. Hats off to you, Mr. Kelly.

This is actually really well done adn really acurate, particularly for those playing in Role-Playing Severs (or who actually participate in RP). Though the bane of “H4rDc0r3 r41d3rz” is ruining WoW.
Two words: Skinner – Box.
I choose not to give WOW a chance ’cause I know I’d probably get addicted, and there are so many better things to do with my life. That said, I don’t bash it or the players, its their life and their choice.
Fantastic video, ridiculously well made.
Why does everyone use WoW as an example of this? There’s absolutely no immersion or customization, and no one cares about role-playing. Your avatar might as well be a car you’re driving instead of a person.
Real well-made and, well… i guess thought-provoking would be the best word for me to use right now.
My two cents in this is to each their own; everybody does what they like, and if people act negative to you that’s their own fault, they still need to go out and find something that they like (to do), too.
