My father-in-law’s name is “Wang”. He’s getting older now, and just had surgery. I noice in the area near Xiao Dong Men, everyone knows my father-in-law and his whole familly.
I will be there for all most of April & May.
But, I’m also doing allot of traveling to the far north and south of China.
aha, I’ll be back in Taiyuan in a month, maybe we can meet there!

Well, that’s good to know. I’ve heard there were afew different Chinese callendars… and any time I ask about it, it’s so confusing that most people don’t even understand it themselves… and if they do, it doesn’t make sence when they explain it.
diuleeseafood is partially correct about the meaning of “春節” (spring festival)… but also need to remember that there are two different calendars – western (國曆) and lunar (農曆). the “spring festival” is based off of the lunar calendar and the lunar calendar’s “spring” actually begins in january, when it’s “winter” according to the western calendar
Do you konw a place called “Da Ying Pan”? There is a college in that area, My parents work and live in there.
